Pagani at the goodwood festival of speed 2012.

Pagani took two of their new cars to goodwood this year. The Pagani Zonda R evo and the Pagani Huayra.

Pagani Huayra

The New Pagani huayra was stunning in the metal. I was reserved when the first picture's were released but what a thing of beauty. It runs a 6.0 litre twin turbo amg engine with a power output of 730bhp and 738lb ft of torque. In a car that weighs 1350kg in total and with only the rear wheels delivering that power caution is advised.

The Huayra is priced a £800,000 which is something of a bargain compared to the price of the zonda 760rs which is double that.

The car is dripping in carbon fibre, looking inside reveals one of the most stunning interiors ever. Lots of carbon, leather, carbon,aluminium, and more carbon. It's very refreshing to look at, this is a crazy £800,000 supercar/hypercar it's an extravagant purchase with an interior to match.

The attention to detail on the car is something I found unmatched in the goodwood supercar paddock. The way the Carbon's weave matches up perfectly still amazes me, every nut and bolt bearing the pagani logo.

Any bad points? Only thing I could see was the steering wheel, another of the new supercar range with an increasing amount of buttons and switches mounted on the wheel, lights, wipers, indicators etc.The wheel is such a thing of beauty I think it should be left well alone.




Pagani Zonda R evo

The pagani Zonda r evo mad it's debut at goodwood. The new car (much like the 599xx evo) gets further developed aero package increasing downforce and reducing drag. An additional 10bhp, which no matches the road going 760rs output. There is also believed to be some suspension tweaks.

The car looked very fast on the various run's up the hill and begs the question of whether a ring lap time is on the cards. Traction off the line was good and the v12 sounded awesome.

Bad point's the price and fact your only likely to see one once in your lifetime.




It's brilliant to see Pagani doing so well. They create beautiful works of art and continue to grow. To think thirteen years ago the first zonda c12 was presented at the geneva motorshow and now the have a place cemented in supercar history.
