New facelifted Audi R8 for 2013

Audi have announced the new facelifted 2013 R8 model. This will be on display at the paris motorshow in september.

The facelift compromises of new bumpers, led headlights and diffusers.

Audi have also dropped the r tronic gearbox in favour of the seven speed s tronic box (a welcome addition to the two pedal version) they will also still produce the manual version.

In a similar situation to the tt rs Audi have also revealed tehy will release an r8 plus. This will benefit from revised suspension power output upto 542bhp and a reduced kerb weight achieved through lighter wheels,reduced soundproofing,carbon mirrors,splitters,vents and lightweight bucket seats.

This will provide 0-60 in 3.5 seconds .2 faster than a gallardo 560-4 and onto a top speed of 197mph.

The updates apply to the coupe and spyder range.

Audi had one of if not the best display at the good wood festival of speed, very large and the cars had generous amounts of space around them, most were also open to have sit inside. The Le mans Audi R18 e-tron was also in action on the hill.
